Scholarship Information (Copies of these scholarship applications can be found in the counseling office reception area grey file cabinet under “Scholarships” if a website address is NOT listed.)

* The Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Education Scholarship Fund  provides financial assistance to enable students to fulfill their higher education goals.  A minimum 2.5 gpa is required.  To apply, visit

www.cbcfinc.org.  (deadline is 5/1/07)

* Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority sponsors the Robbie Clark Scholarship Program to students who are residents of College Park, have at least an 80 gpa, show evidence of academic and personal motivation, good character, financial need, and promise of successful college matriculation.  A willingness to interview on Thursday, 4/26 is also required.  (deadline is 4/20/07)

* Delta Tau Delta Fraternity offers scholarships to two male seniors who will attend University of Georgia in the fall.  Requirements include demonstration of excellence in academics, leadership and community service. To apply, go to www.uga/edu/georgiadelts.  (deadline is 6/1/07)

* The Georgia Engineering Foundation awards scholarships to students who enroll in an engineering or engineering technology ABET-accredited program leading to a B.S. degree.  Financial need and school/community involvement will be considered.  Applications are at www.gefinc.org.  (deadline is 8/31/07)

* OCA-Georgia/NAAAP-ATL recognizes Asian American high school seniors in Georgia for academic, leadership involvement, community service and athletic excellence and achievements.  (deadline is 4/23/07)

Other News

* Brewton-Parker College will waive the $25 application fee to students who apply on-line by 4/15.  Go to www.bpc.edu.

* Georgia Perimeter College welcomes graduating seniors to apply for the Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Summer Bridge Program.  This 5-week program is a great one for students who plan to study science, computer science, math or engineering at an Alliance Institution.
