Scholarship Information (Copies of these scholarship applications can be found in the counseling office reception area file cabinet under “Scholarships” if a website address is NOT listed.)

* The EESD Scholarship Foundation offers a one-time award of $5,000. They are targeting students who have “beaten the odds”; deserving and financially needy students. (deadline is 2/14/07)

* The Continental Societies, Atlanta Chapter awards three scholarships based on an essay contest. (deadline is 2/13/07)

* The 2007 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $8,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school. Simply log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in our area. The scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing. (deadline is 4/15/07)

* The PFLAG-Atlanta Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gender individuals who will continue their education after high school and have at least a B- gpa. Apply at www.pflagatl.org. (deadline is 3/31/07)

Reminder

*Please remember that you need to fill out a gold Transcript Request Form in the counseling office each time you send out an application for college admission (and for some scholarships). You will need the complete address of the college or scholarship and $1.00 for each request.
