* The Georgia Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association (GELSSA)
offers scholarships to seniors whose parent is a full-time
paid member of the police, sheriff’s department or fire
department or a volunteer member of a fire department.
Student must have proof of acceptance to a college

* The Robert Wharton Foundation awards two academic scholarships
to students who best embody the goals and ideals of inspiring
and encouraging excellence in others; who exemplify excellence
inside and outside the classroom.

* The Gus Thornhill Scholarship Fund awards a $1,500 scholarship
to a South
Fulton County
senior with at least a 2.5 gpa, with demonstrated service
to the school and community and financial need.
A letter of acceptance to college, and reference

* Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants award a $1,000 scholarship.
Students must submit an essay on one of the two
topics that appear on the scholarship page of their web

* The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity-High Aspirations Foundation offers
ten scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000 to students
who demonstrate leadership, community service and moral
character. A 500 word essay is required. (deadline is 4/14/07)
* The Atlanta Sky-Hi Club/Tall Clubs International offers scholarships
to females who are at least 5’10”/males who are at least
6’2” tall, who have outstanding academic records, are
involvement in clubs and activities in school and outside
school. An essay

* The Southwest Atlanta Real Estate Focus Group (SWAREFG) awards
three $1,000 scholarships to students from South
Fulton and Atlanta
City schools. Students must have at least an 80 gpa, community/volunteer
work, and an acceptance letter to a college or vocational
school. An essay

* The Nu Lambda Omega Foundation, Inc. Sorority offers four $1,000
scholarships to students who will attend any accredited
4-year college; three $2,000 scholarships to students
who will attend any Historically Black college or university.
